Letterpress & Intaglio

Letterpress is a relief printing technique where raised text or images—often made from metal, wood, or polymer plates—are inked and pressed into paper using a printing press.

Intaglio is a printmaking process where lines or textures are incised into a metal plate. Ink is pushed into the recessed areas, the surface is wiped clean, and damp paper is pressed into the plate, pulling ink from the grooves to create a detailed print.
